Terms of service

Policies & Procedures

Cancellations: If your event is canceled, you remain responsible for the full payment of orders by the agreed-upon date. If you cancel your order after production has begun, all payments made to date are forfeited.

Fittings: Two fittings are required for each custom garment. Missing or rescheduling appointments will result in production delays. If a reschedule is necessary but you still require the original completion date, a rush fee of $50 – $150 will be applied to your final balance.

RTW (Ready-to-Wear) Refunds: Goods must be returned within 2 days in their original, purchased condition. All items will undergo inspection before a refund or exchange is processed. If your specific size is out of stock, we will offer an exchange for an item of equal value.

Custom Garment Refunds: Due to the bespoke nature of custom garments made specifically to your measurements, no refunds will be issued.

Deposits: All deposits are non-refundable, as they secure your place in the production schedule and cover initial materials. A 50% deposit is required before production begins. Orders totaling less than $150.00 must be paid in full upfront.

Storage: Completed items will be held for a maximum of 1 week following the notice of completion. After 1 week, a storage fee of $5.00 per day will be added to your balance. After 2 weeks, items become the property of The Bare Official and will be sold.

Materials: Fabric and supplies are generally provided by the customer. If you prefer the designer to source materials, a $50.00 sourcing fee will be added to your bill. Please note that while we strive for accuracy, an exact fabric match cannot always be guaranteed; the closest available match will be provided. Colors may also vary slightly from digital depictions or photos.

Hygiene & Garment Care Policy

Fitting Hygiene: To maintain the integrity of our samples and custom garments, clients are required to practice proper personal hygiene. Please ensure you are wearing clean, full-coverage undergarments (and any necessary foundation garments like shapewear or bras) for every fitting. If hygiene standards are not met, the designer reserves the right to reschedule the fitting, which may incur a $50.00 rescheduling fee.

Garment Care & Maintenance: Once a custom garment is collected, The Bare Official is not responsible for damage caused by improper laundering or wear. Most custom pieces are Dry Clean Only or require delicate hand-washing. Please follow the specific care instructions provided at the time of pick-up to ensure the garment’s longevity.

Fabric Sensitivity: We are not liable for skin irritations or allergic reactions to specific fabrics or embellishments. It is the client’s responsibility to notify the designer of any known fabric sensitivities during the initial consultation.

Alterations Post-Collection: Any requests for alterations after the final fitting and collection of the garment will be treated as a new project and billed at our standard hourly alteration rate.
